Nearing the end of his first term, President Obama is greeted by a family at the White House with a young son who is curious about the president's appearance. The little boy photographed inquired, “I want to know if my hair is just like yours.”

Seeing the president bow down in front of the young boy depicts how young children of color look up to the president and are amazed by seeing someone like themselves in his position. Meanwhile, the president is natural in his response by allowing the young boy to touch his hair.

I will miss President Obama and his ability to connect with people on so many levels.
