If just batting, base running, fielding, and influence on the game were considered, then Barry Bonds should easily be considered the undisputed greatest to ever play. Whether he used PEDs (inconclusive) should not detract from his legacy. Bonds was destined for a first ballot hall of fame induction prior to the alleged PED use and he should be remembered for that brilliance. Sadly, politics has kept Bonds and Pete Rose from receiving inductions they both deserve.
